Maybelline - Lash sensational sky high mascara

Well this is new, a drug store mascara that's sold out everywhere after going viral on TikTok.  

Maybelline sky high mascara is all the rave (do ppl still say that?) and even Norwegian papers write about it being sold out from every store. 

So what's the big deal?

I mean long lashes is something everyone wants, right? And for 150 NOK? Bring it on.

The packaging is sleek with raised lettering, in a muted metallic pink, it looks really cool actually so well done on the design aspect of this product. 

 

The wand is slimmer than what I would expect from a lengthening mascara, and it's super bendy and soft so that threw me off at first thinking it wouldn't coat the lashes well. But it does. 

It goes on super smooth and instantly makes the lashes longer and thicker, one coat is enough for everyday use, if you want more drama go 2, 3 coats. Boom. Lashes for days!

It doesn't crumble, I do not end up looking like a racoon at the end of the day and it comes off easy with a makeup remover wipe. 

The only downside I can find is for me, at 44, my eyes are more hooded and I am used to a mascara that dries stiff to keep my lashes curled, but it's not a major issue. I just have to get used to the feeling of not having rock solid lashes. I've been reaching for this mascara over the Stila one since I got it so I do really like it. Google pics of ppl trying it and see for your self. It's really good.

My camera refuses to zoom so this is the best I can do.

Terra Moon Cosmetics - Light year eyeshadow.

When I got this eyeshadow I swatched it and immediately tried to find an eyeshadow in my collection that's similar. No can do. I tried shadows I own that kinda look the same, I tried to layer shadows to see if I could make a dupe. Nope. Not even remotely close. 

This is truly unique and well worth the wait. I found out about Latina owned Terra Moon Cosmetics via Instagram, I saw the eyeshadow "Light year" and knew I had to own it. 

 

I had to pre-order and wait I'd say a good month or so before it arrived today. This is what I would call a multi chrome shadow, shifting from green, gold, pink to blue. Their web site lists it as: 

"Iridescent chameleons are color shifting shadows that change their appearance depending on the lighting. They appear white in the pan however they have many different colors to them." 

I just wish my camera would pick up the crazy shift this shadow has, it's truly amazing. I guess I just have to refer you to the site to see their swatches there. 

Below are my attempts at swatches and an eyelook I made using the Light year eyeshadow. I do see my self using this as a topper more than an eyeshadow on its own as I can see that getting a regular look to the next level. 

I did test the eyeshadow with both the glitz glue and the mixing medium from Sample beauty (I wrote about them here) and the liquid made it the most foil like. 

 "Light year" costs $17, shipping was $14 so this is not a cheap shadow at all, but something I really do think everyone should have at least one of in their collection because of its versatility. I can't wait to test this over a dark purple shadow or a black.

 The only downside to these single pan shadows are that they have to go in a palette or they will get ruined.

This is a brand for people who want something luxurious and mature. Lisa is known for her love and knowledge on vintage makeup, being a successful makeup artist shes worked with the biggest models in the industry. Follow her Youtube too.

Everyone got really excited when she told us she was launching lip products, to me lip products just screams Lisa. And I knew they would be amazing. And I was right.

Packaging is so sleek.

 

 The product comes in a foiled gold colored bulled that is magnetic, making it secure and sleek. It feels heavy and comfortable and very luxurious in my hands. 

But most of all is the unique texture. The lip stick bullet it self looks like velvet. How she did that, gods only knows but it looks so sexy and majestic I just cant. Truly one of a kind. 

 

 I got my first lipstick once she released them a year ago I think, and I pre ordered when she came out with new colors AND lip gloss. I'm a total lip gloss junkie so I had to get my hands on the darkest color of them all. 

 I have two lipsticks and one gloss.

A fiery hot orange red, velvet matte, but not drying on the lips, rather hydrating and long lasting. Perfect for just dabbing on with a finger for a stunning stained lip or straight from the bullet fro a vampy in your face lip. It's unique because it had this interesting mix of red and orange, it will look killer on any skin tone due this this mix of colors. Very highly recommended.

The next lipstick I got is Velvet carnival.

A really bright in your face pink that looks killer on very pale skin,its more muted looking on darker skin tones. You put this on and your face just lights up, making my green eyes really pop. Not for everyone but I really do think everyone should have a bright pink in their collection. It has the same velvet finish as Velvet morning, and the same magnetic bullet. I really love this color. 

 

The gloss I have is Myth.

A wildly, vivid mulberry tone. Lips are stained as though with the juice of bright ripe berries. Blue and red undertones brighten the entire face (not to mention the teeth). I got Myth because it was the darkest shade and an shade I knew I would get a lot of wear of. On the lips it's not as dark as I expected, it is really a more muted berry shade but still really pretty. I wear it full on with lots of coverage and super gloss or I apply it as a thin layer and work it into the lips. Easy wand for application, sticky enough to stay longer on the lips. Glossy and very hydrating!

Romand X -neon moon collab- review

 The only reason why i got these is because uncle Eddie (Edward Avila) did a post on them and I just buy anything he likes sooo.... yeah that's me. All products bought at Yesstyle.com

So freaking cute!

 

And I love the packaging I think its really unique and cute. Fitting for a 43 year old woman. 

The first item I want to talk about is the gloss. Roman Glasting water gloss neon moon edition.

 "Maximize shine with this non-sticky lip gloss! Packed with sweet almond extract for added hydration and a slightly plumping effect. As part of the romand x Neon Moon collaboration, the Glasting Water Gloss comes in lavender-colored packaging emblazoned with the brand’s iconic teddy bear mascot."

  Its so pretty in the bottle, with glitter and half and half pale blue and pink gloss. On the lip its extremely glossy and I love that, what I do not like mind you, is the fact that the gloss seeps into my mouth and I cant stand it when glosses do that. I need my gloss to be super sticky so it stays in place, if not I get sick to my stomach.  It just grosses me out. It looks absolutely stunning both in the bottle and on, but I dont see my self using this. Sadly. I will try it agian to see if I can make it work but for now...its a no from me. Currently out of stock.

The next item I want to talk about is the eyes shadow quad, Romand Better then eyes neon moon edition in nr 4 Evening Primrose. Comes in 3 different hues.

Again this is Korean makeup and their idea of pigment is not the same as in the west, their shadows are much more muted, soft golden peach, pinks and browns, and shimmer and glitter. And I didn't have anything really similar to this so I wanted to try it and the orange glitter/foil is really TO DIE FOR.

This is really shadow for ppl who are more into a mode modest look, say for work. Best payoff is by using your finger swiping and/or patting it onto your lid. The effects are really magical and super pretty. I've tried these shadows out a few times and i really do like this, it add a little sumtin to an eye look, and looks really kool on its own too. Even just adding the more subtle sparkle to a nude eye shadow look makes they eyes magical. Recommended.

  I got this is in #3 beige 23.  Comes in 3 colors. For those of you who are not familiar with cushions they are my fav product for foundation and has been for years, the foundation is in the swamp like cushion and you use the puff it comes with to pat the product onto your skin. I like to dip the cushion into the sponge, then dab it a tad against the lid to distribute the product more and then tap, tap tap in onto my face.

 I LOVE this! The coverage is super good, it evens out your skin leaving it looking like porcelain, super glowing and supple. I've use it many times since I got it and let me tell you,- a little goes a long way so less is more remember that. Really my fav cushion at the moment. The shade looked a bit dark on my skin when I swatched it on my arm, but on my face its a perfect fit. Love this and highly recommend.

Sample beauty - sparkly pigments.

Åh milde måne...noen ganger er det umulig å skrive om et produkt du både elsker og hater. Jeg elsker glitter, skikkelig skjære av natur. Når jeg oppdaget disse pigmentene fra Samle Beauty måtte jeg bare teste siden de var veldig billig. Første pigment kjøpte jeg via Beautybay, pakken med mixing medium og glitz glue samt et pigment til, kjøpte jeg via hjemmesiden til Sample beauty. 

 

De har ulike pigmenter jeg gikk selvsagt for de mest intense: Keira B og Sean Maloney.

Problemer med disse er enkelt og greit at de er ekstremt vanskelig å jobbe med, pigmentet er så finkornet at det velter ut av beholderen bare du tenker en stygg tanke, rommet du er i ser ut som et dårlig vintereventyr fra 70-tallet, glitter føkkings everywhere! Jeg har allerede mistet en del pigment bare ved åpning av boksen, og to ganger sølt ut på underlaget. Føkk altså.

 Når det er sagt, så er resultatet to die for. Jeg har testet glitterlimet Glits Glue  med absolutt best resultat, da fester glitteret seg skikkelig og ser nesten ut som foil eller speil. Når jeg har brukt glitterlimet flagrer ikke glitterpartikler overalt, men sitter bom fast der jeg har påført det.

Krukkene med pigment koster £5.95 og er produktet er vegan.

Jeg er faktisk litt forvirret over produkter Muli-use setting liquid - turn pigments into paint. Jeg tror jeg må teste mere men så langt har jeg ikke fått resultat jeg liker. Det blir tynt lag og ikke foil effekten jeg er ute etter, kanskje jeg må bruke mere pigment, selv om jeg testet med en bitteliten dråpe setting liquid. Jeg vil absolutt anbefale å bare kjøpe glitterlimet isteden. Kan da brukes som hightlight på øyelokk, som eyeliner, eller mye annet  morro.

Testet litt på øyenlokk med godt resultat, vil poste bilder på Instagram når jeg har nrg til å gjøre en look med dette produktet. 

Akkurat nå sitter jeg her full i glitz i en storm av glitter. Og jeg er litt sur. Pen, men sur.

Ganske sikker jeg har blogget om dette for mange år siden men her er en kort post om nail art foils, en veldig enkel og praktisk løsning for flotte negler.

Foils får du kjøpt for 30 nok ca for 10 ruller på feks Ebay. Ellers så finner du de på kosmetikkbutikker enkelte steder nå. Det er ca en meter i hver rull, foilen kan du få i utallige mønstre, halloween-tema, band logo.... alt du kan tenke deg. På undersiden er foilen matt, Oversiden er glossy.

Jeg anbefaler å lakke neglene med et strøk lakk som er dekkende, jo færre steg desto bedre sitter foilen på neglen. Vent til lakken er HELT tørr, pensle så på et tynt strøk med nail foil glue og vent til denne er tacky, det tar ca 1 minutt, tar du på foil for tidlig vil lakken feste seg til foilen når du tar denne av, så ha tolmod!

 

 

Når du tar på foilen så press ned med en finger, særlig i kantene, og dra forsiktig av foilen for å sjekke om at foilen sitter fast i lakken og ikke omvendt. Når limen er tacky skal foilen løsne uten problem. Da tar det bare et par minutt for en hånd. Jeg anbefaler å ha lim på en hånd om gangen, så slipper du at alt klistrer seg til neglene. (Kattehår...)

Husk å ha den fargerike siden opp, og den matte siden er den som skal presses mot neglen.

Jeg anbefaler å bruke en neglelakk som passer til foilen, er det mye blått bruk en blå lakk, er det mørke farger, bruk sort. Dette gjør at om foilen ikke løsner perfekt så ser det bare kult ut. Til slutt et generøst strøk med Seche Vite top coat.

 Kort post om verden beste eyeliner.

 Jeg har prøvd ørten eyeliners og ingen er som denne, som nevnt tidligere rrenner øynene mine og dermed renner eyeliner bort samma faen hva jeg har brukt. Måtte gi opp winged liner og cat eye noe som er min favoritt-look. Skikkelig dritt var det. Jeg tenkte at denne også ville være håpløs tross gode reviews men dennne sitter som faen!

Anbefaler veldig denne til de av dere som har samme problem med rennende øyner, og som har tunge øyelokk, denne er virkellig løsningen. Kan skrive post om hvordan winged liner gjøres på hooded eyes om noen er hypp på det.
